What is your bulk production lead time?
Short Answer
What Is Your Bulk Production Lead Time?
Our bulk production lead time is 25–35 days for standard linen styles after sample approval and deposit. First-time OEM/ODM programs with new patterns and trims typically take 30–45 days, and complex developments with special finishes can reach 45–60 days. Expedited production is available on request for repeat styles when fabric is in stock.
When the Bulk Production Clock Starts
Bulk production time starts after two things happen: you approve the Pre-Production Sample (PP sample) and the deposit is confirmed. From that point, the factory's production calendar is committed to your order. Nothing that happens before — fabric sourcing, sampling, revisions — counts toward the bulk lead time, which is why we always quote it from PP approval.
This convention protects you. It means the 25–35 day window we quote is the actual time from "locked and approved" to "goods ready for shipment", not a marketing estimate. For the full breakdown of every stage, see our average lead time for linen clothing manufacturing FAQ, which covers the complete production timeline table.
| Program type | Bulk lead time | What is included |
|---|---|---|
| Repeat order, existing pattern | 25–35 days | Fabric pre-booked, patterns on file, no new development |
| Stock fabric, simple style | 25–30 days | No fabric sourcing or dyeing lead time |
| First-time OEM/ODM program | 30–45 days | Pattern grading, PP sample, trim sourcing, production |
| New development + custom fabric | 45–60 days | Fabric development or dyeing added to the schedule |
| Expedited (repeat style, stock fabric) | 20–25 days | Priority slot; subject to current production capacity |
All timeframes exclude sea or air freight. Add 25–45 days for sea shipping to the US or EU, or about 5–10 days by air freight.

What Can Shorten or Lengthen Bulk Production
Shortens the timeline
Repeat styles, stock linen, existing patterns, low-to-medium order volume, and early fabric pre-booking all compress the schedule toward 25–30 days.
Lengthens the timeline
New patterns, imported European flax, garment dyeing, embroidery or complex trims, and very large volumes push the window toward 45–60 days.
Changes after approval
Any modification after PP approval — a changed trim, a different size range, a fabric switch — restarts part of the clock and adds days.
What We Confirm Before Production Starts
Plan shipping separately. Bulk production ends when goods pass final QC and are packed. Freight is quoted separately, and sea shipping to the US/EU typically adds 25–45 days. For a launch date, add production + shipping + buffer.
How to Get an Accurate Bulk Lead Time Quote
An accurate production timeline starts with complete information. When you request a quote, include the following so the factory can confirm fabric availability and slot your order correctly:
With these details, we can tell you within one working day whether your order fits the 25–35 day standard window or needs the longer development schedule. Early fabric pre-booking is the most reliable way to hold a fast slot, especially for European flax linen, which has its own sourcing lead time.
How long does sampling take before bulk production?
Sampling takes 7–14 days for linen, including pattern making, first sample, and revisions. See how long sampling takes at a linen clothing manufacturer for the full breakdown by style complexity.
Is 25–35 days the same for every factory?
No. Lead time depends on factory size, order book, fabric stock, and how specialized the factory is in linen. A general apparel factory may quote shorter but risk shrinkage and finishing defects on linen. See our guide to working with a linen clothing factory for what to check before committing.
Can you rush a bulk order?
Yes, for repeat styles with stock fabric we can often slot an expedited run in 20–25 days. Availability depends on the current production calendar, so ask early and we will confirm a firm date.
What is the minimum order for bulk production?
Our MOQ is 60 pieces per style, which keeps small-batch brands and capsule collections viable while maintaining consistent linen quality control.
How do I get a confirmed lead time for my order?
Send your tech pack or style reference and target quantity. We confirm fabric availability, sampling timing, and a production schedule with a firm ship date at PP approval — in writing.
